What kind of scam is this?  This is the most commonly asked question. In short, this is no scam, our firm is licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and registered with the Florida Division of Corporations. Furthermore, at  no time does a client ever send  our firm payment for services rendered. If you are not sending us a payment, how can you possibly be scammed out of your hard earned money? Last but not least, the State of Florida protects it’s citizens and takes fraud very seriously. I am personally a retired law enforcement officer and have never had any complaints nor discipline from the licensing authority, the Florida Department of Agriculture. Are you a collection agency?  No. We are not a collection agency. In fact, you could say we are the opposite of a collection agency. A call from us means that we have located assets that you or a family member may be entitled to claim. In other words, someone owes you money or assets. Investigation Discovery specializes in locating assets, contacting the individuals and businesses with the right to claims those assets, and recovering these assets on their behalf. We operate on a contingency basis, if we are not successful we are not compensated. If you don’t get paid, we don’t get paid.

How did you find me, my mother passed away 15 years ago?  When we locate an asset, we go to great lengths to locate the owners or possible heirs and to make sure they receive them. We have highly sophisticated software developed for that reason, we subscribe to several national and international databases as well. Our analysts go to great lengths to locate individuals. We search public records such as voter registrations, telephone directories, driver’s records, birth and death certificates, change of address filings, marriage and divorce filings, court records and military registers as well as genealogical and historical records.

Where do these funds come from?  Another commonly asked question. Funds are reported from a myriad of resources. Some of the most common being financial institutions, insurance companies, investment firms, utility companies and employers.
How much of my time is this going to take?  On average, these forms can be completed in less than 30 minutes and require review and signatures.
The individual the funds are owed to is deceased, who gets the funds?  The answer depends on many variables, is there a will or a trust? Is there a surviving spouse or children? There is no clear cut answer and we’d need to discuss this at length.
How do I get paid and  how does Investigation Discovery get paid?  Your check will be delivered directly to you from the fund holder,. Circumstances will determine how distribution occurs. Contact us for specifics regarding your case. Investigation Discovery  provides services on a contingency basis. In other words, we only get paid when we are successful in recovering the assets on your behalf. Service fees due to Investigation Discovery are paid directly from the fund holder, If for any reason we are not successful, there are NO FEES.
